Support Lobby and Campaign Finance Reform

Dear Voter,

Students4reform.com was established in 1996 to push for campaign finance reform in NYC - now considered the "best reform program in the country" according to the New York Times.

This year, we were proud to join a new coalition for reform: Americans For Reform. Other members include Senator John McCain, Senator Russ Feingold, Common Cause, the League of Women Voters, the CED, AARP, the Children's Defense Fund, the NRDC, the Creative Coalition along with every key reform leader in America. See, www.americansforreform.org.

Our focus is now on Albany. Our student interns, sponsored by attorneys Charles Juntikka, Dan Wolf and Craig Heller, are working on a civics project to clean up the political corruption in the capital of New York State.

We have placed the names of "anti-reform" politicians on a map of New York State. Click on the dots to view the anti-reform politicians nearest you. These politicians refuse to support lobby and campaign finance reforms supported by Common Cause, NYPIRG and the League of Women Voters. These same politicians face tough re-election campaigns.

We have set up toll-free numbers for these anti-reformers.

We ask you to call these politicians and the Governor, Republican leader Bruno, Democratic Leader Silver and your district's representatives today to relay a clear message:

Tell them you support Lobby and Campaign Finance reforms.

Tell them if they vote against reform in the legislature, you’ll vote against them on Election Day.

The rest is up to you. You can create an avalanche of responses for reform with just one call.

Gov. George Pataki
(800) 371-0555
Tell him you support S.3794, A.6940 and Bill 92.

Hon. Sheldon Silver

(Ask for Dan Conviser)

Sen. Joe Bruno
(888) 894-4652
(Ask for Mike Avella)
